Special Live Trading Sessions Today
Today, March 2nd, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will conduct two special live trading sessions to test disaster preparedness. These sessions, scheduled from 9:15 am to 10 am and 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, aim to ensure seamless trading during emergencies. The sessions will include an intra-day switch from the primary NSE website to the disaster recovery site. This proactive measure aligns with SEBI guidelines for Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery. Investors are encouraged to participate to observe the market’s resilience firsthand.
Purpose of Disaster Recovery Testing Session
The purpose of this session is to verify that trading can proceed smoothly in the event of any disruptions occurring at the primary trading venues. As mandated by SEBI, Market Infrastructure Intermediaries (MIIs) are required to transition to their Disaster Recovery (DR) site as part of their business continuity plan.
